Since 1998 a group of lively musicians have played folk songs in the front room and people have joined in for singing, while songs were played on a CD player or boom box in the back room for dancing. Conferees have mingled back and forth throughout the evening. This has appeared to be successful. Therefore, it would be fun it you could line up a DJ for Oldies for dancing. If you choose to do this, you'll have to arrange for a tape/CD player from Conference services early in the week. In 2008, we played music using an iPod and an iPod dock brought by conferees. If you have the capacity to do this, bringing music to the island is much simpler.. You’ll need to check with the Island musicians to arrange for the folk singing. Enjoy!
